Can Exercise Be Obsolete In The Future

Our culture is a quick fix give me a pill culture. It only makes sense that researchers would want to develop “exercise in a pill”. In comes Sestrin, a naturally occurring protein that seems to replicate the effects of exercise.

Michigan Medicine researchers started studying the protein in order to fight the atrophy of old age and other causes like autoimmune diseases. If successful I can easily see this being the marketers dream.

If you could take a pill to get the results of exercise would you take it? I’d like to think I’d still be physically active. Like all medications or supplements it will take time to truly know the side effects.
